Spring 2015 - Schoolhouse Electric Co.
May 26, 2015
When it comes to handmade, American made, and Portland made, no one does it like Schoolhouse Electric Co. Their beautifully crafted showroom was the location for our spring Table for Ten dinner. We were privileged to have Schoolhouse’s founder, Brian Faherty, treat us to a backstage tour of the Schoolhouse factory that once was home to the 1910 Pacific Steel and Hardware Co. Schoolhouse’s three story Portland factory is a remarkable place where heritage is preserved in the hand-crafted production process.
Our breathtaking tablescape was carefully crafted using timeless decor provided by Schoolhouse Electric. Commonwealth Rentals provided our schoolhouse-centric furnishings and place settings and Appetite made custom printed table linens. Bent Brick served up a family style feast including foraged greens, short ribs, and rice pudding with wine pairings from Avalon Wine.
Our guests list included brand influencers, movers, shakers, and forward thinkers from Schoolhouse Electric Co., Nike, Umpqua Bank, Red Bull, Columbia, and Uncorked Studios.
Thank you to Schoolhouse Electric Co., for reminding us to step back from the busy day, share stories, make memories, and take the time to slow down.
